Customer: Air Berlin, Germany
Air Berlin is the second largest airline in Germany and carried more than 31.7 million passengers in 2014.
SCOPE: Virtual eTraining was asked to develop an online virtual learning concept for location and use of safety and emergency equipment onboard Air Berlin’s family of Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
The purpose was to train location and use of safety and emergency equipment for all types of aircraft operated by Air Berlin as a pre-study course for the annual Recurrent Training classroom session.
SOLUTION: The result was a 360˚ cabin interior walk-around (e360 TOUR) in which flight crew can navigate inside a virtual version of an aircraft and locate emergency equipment and learn more about its functionality and use by visiting multimedia hotspots, or learning points, containing text material, photographs and instructional videos.
